Bezukhov (roughly translating as 'earless') styles itself as an art-café and includes on its menu not only food, but also recently released books. Music is unintrusive, the atmosphere laid back; the interior is somewhere between a wine cellar and a dilapidated stately home complete with chairs so cosy you can barely reach the table. Portions aren't that generous, but they are well presented, fairly original and delicious with a touch of the Heston Blumenthal about them - think savoury mousses and bacon ice-cream. There's also a good dessert selection and a choice of handmade chocolates, making Bezukhov just as suited to an afternoon tea and cake as to a quality evening meal or cocktail.
