The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park was established in 2002 and spans an area of 1,865 km², which makes it the British Isle's fourth-biggest national park.

Based on its surface area, Loch Lomond is the largest lake in Britain with its 71 km². It is 8km wide, 36 km long and about 200 metres deep and has 22 islands. Surrounded by mountains, it separates the Highlands in the north from the Lowlands in the south. Besides stunning views and beautiful walkways, various other activities that can be enjoyed here, such as speedboat trips, wakeboarding, cruises, climbing and Segway trekking.

The Trossachs refers to the area situated east of Ben Lomond and is the home to various lochs, hills, wooden parts, and villages. Because of this, you can often find it referred to as the miniature highlands. 

Because of its great connection to public transport, vibrant wildlife, stunning views, and various activities, it is understandable why this place is much loved by tourists.
