Tartarstan's leading theatre and one of the most popular theatres in the whole country. Yes the plays are performed in the Tatar language, but it's ok! Every seat has headphones where you can listen to Russian or English translations. During the Soviet era Tatarstan was not allowed its own film studios and so theatre became the only way for actors to perform - hence the performances here are of consistently high quality.
