More noteworthy for its historical value rather than its aesthetics, while today the tidy white and yellow building is home to the municipal library and an international bank, it was built in 1904 as a refuge for the Slovenes of Brežice to meet and plan the towns future - serving as both a practical and symbolic counter to the German House just down the road.
