Entering its 18th year in 2014, the Days of Poetry and Wine festival provides exactly what it says on the tin, with much more. The pre-program starts on the 23rd, culminating in what is known as the ‘Evening Before Days’ on the 26th, taking place in a number of towns in Slovenia, Austria and Croatia. The real meat of the festival takes place over the following four days in Ptuj however, as evening poetry reading, discussions and concerts take the stage. 19 poets from a total of 12 countries are taking part. All of this without even mentioning the wine!
