This might just be our favourite restaurant in Postojna, and it isn’t just because they do the best chips (or fries to our Americanised readers) we’ve tasted since our mother’s home-cooked ones back in Wales. The name of the restaurant translateas ‘Story under the Stairs’, and the place itself manages to imbue a rustic ambience with sheer romance, and a varied menu that leaves no stone unturned. You are just as likely to head here for burgers with friends or for a gourmet romantic meal with a lover, neither seeming out of place. Brilliant.
