More often than not, tourists will pray and pray that rain will stay away. Sometimes however, a little downpour can bring great rewards, and nowhere is this truer than in the case of the Sušec waterfall in Ilirska Bistrica. Unlikely to be seen in summer, nevertheless the visual of white foaming water against greener than green moss is quite arresting. Created by the limestone rock that surrounds it, there are seven springs as well as an invisible eighth one adopted by the local scout group.
