Whilst 91km might be a little too far for us, this excellently marked route covering the entire Karst region is a must do for lovers of the long walk. Starting at Pivka railway station, the trail traverses the valleys, lakes and hills that make the region so special before ending at Postojna railway station. Taking its name from legendary Slovenian folk hero Martin Krpan, the route is full of historical locations, cultural monuments, castle ruins and much more, as well as the incredible range of flora and fauna that resides here. Useful and informative maps can be found from various TIC offices in the region.
