Joburg Ballet's 21st-anniversary celebrations continue as South African choreographer Veronica Paeper’s La Traviata makes a return to the Joburg Theatre stage. This is a grand, classical production, complete with opulent sets and costumes and all set to the stirring music of Giuseppe Verdi.

The ballet is based on Alexandre Dumas’ tragic love story, the Lady of the Camellias, a famous tale of love, sadness, and aristocracy in 19th century France. The flamboyant leading lady lives a life of opulence as a courtesan, but lacks true love in her life. That is until one day she meets a young bourgeoise gentleman, who convinces her to change her life and give up everything she knows to pursue true love...

Tickets from R200–R475, on Wed July 6 all tickets are R100. Friends of the Ballet members receive a 35% discount, pensioners a 15% and group bookings of 10+ people 10%.
