A bit of a cross between critical mass and a kinetic sculpture derby, this annual event involves DIY dirigibles floating down the Wisła River through the heart of the city. Anyone can participate, but you'll need a boat or other floating vessel of some kind in order to do so. Promoting a natural and clean Wisła, the goal is to have as many vessels in the water as possible, and participants are encouraged to create their own floating vessel - out of any materials (it just has to float!) - and a premium is put on pageantry, costumes and colour. If you're local and you need help creating a rivercraft, workshops are held at CWS Wiewiórka/Skład Solny (ul. Na Zjeździe 8) in the weeks leading up to the event (head to FB to find the community and get involved). If you aren't ready to get in the water, this is still a very fun spectator event! Enjoy the highly creative parade of floating art, river selkies, mermaids and more from the shore, or better yet, get involved yourself. After the float trip there is typically an afterparty (concerts and DJs) at the organisers' headquarters (CSW Wiewiórka, ul. Na Zjeździe 8).
Start: Bulwar Rodła, where the Rudawa tributary meets the Wisła River.
Finish: Bulwar Podolski, near Bernatek Footbridge in Podgórze.
