The Melbourne Museum is a large, modern museum located in the Carlton Gardens in Melbourne, Australia. It covers a wide range of topics, including the natural history, cultural heritage, and social history of the state of Victoria and the city of Melbourne.
Some of the key features of the museum include the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre, which showcases the culture and history of the Kulin nation, the Melbourne Story gallery, which covers the history and development of Melbourne from pre-European settlement to the present day, and the Mind and Body gallery, which explores human biology and health.
The Melbourne Museum also has a number of temporary exhibitions throughout the year, covering a range of topics and featuring works by local and international artists. In addition to its galleries, the museum also has an IMAX theatre, a Discovery Centre for children, and a number of research and education programmes.
