Bufet's underground location, arty feel and temperamental bar staff have the knack of making its customers feel satisfyingly 'in the know' when they find this bar, though it's hardly a well-kept secret. It's famed for its 'Coffee from the Hussar' - the Hussar being a wizened man in a colourful hat who, upon receiving an order, makes you a coffee according to a secret recipe that's best not inquired into. At any rate, it's very tasty coffee. Bufet is perhaps best loved as a setting for a cheap beer or cocktail of mystifying contents and the possibility of meeting some interesting characters. Art-house films are also shown here regularly. Worth booking ahead as it can get busy.
