Found within the cave park, the Modrijan Homestead consists of the Lower Mill, a residential building and a sawmill. The inside of the mill is where millers' work is presented; the stone door frame of the farmhouse still features a clearly visible year 1593 chiselled into the stone, as well as initials W. H. - in reference to the former mill owner Wolfgang Huber. On the ground floor of the residential house visitors are served home-made snacks, fresh home-baked bread, delicious dry-cured ham, cheese and wine, while children can try various homemade cakes and pastries. During the summer months, homemade treats are also served in the shady garden.
