In the centre of Postojna is Hostel Proteus, which doubles up as the dormitory building for young foresters and woodworkers in the town. It has everything you would want from a modern hostel, plenty of facilities, beanbags and bar/café area, as well as a large cafeteria and a location just a short walk from the main bus station. Our favourite part of the hostel is the block colouring throughout however. There’s no space for dullness on these walls. An added bonus is the events wall, where anything and everything that is going on in the area can be found.
