The Young troupe led by Evgeny Drobyshev did a lot of experimenting. Particularly successful were the experiments on the synthesis of drama and sculpture. Such experiments led to the widely acclaimed performances Night for Ivan Kupala and Playing Bidstrupa have been repeatedly honoured with awards at the Russian and international festivals.

The theatre has toured Moscow, Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Izhevsk, Ufa, Kiev, Gatchina and gone as far abroad as the United States, Germany, Hungary and Austria. The theatre is one of the most popular in Samara with a variety of performances reflecting a range of interests.
