The Volga embankment is the largest in Russia. The river bank makes for a pleasant walk and is a favourite location for locals during the summer. The embankment gives access to several beaches where it is possible to swim and play beach sports such as volleyball and football. The embankment has a separate section for people to ride bikes or rollerskates. The upper embankment is adorned with flower gardens and is periodically developed with various forms of entertainment as well as bars and restaurants. It is a great place to go for a stroll as the sun sets.
