Located just about exactly in the geographic centre of the Brda region, Sosolič is run by the father and son team of Izidor and Dominik - technically there's already a third generation living here too, but the youngest Sosolič isn't quite old enough to do much heavy lifting yet. In describing the vineyard, Dominik likes to say that they don't like to think of themselves as in the agrotourism business, but simply have a place where people can retreat from the 'crazy world'. Once you're here it's easy to understand where this sentiment comes from, as there are amazing views in all directions, with the eponymous Brda on one side and the idyllic village of Šmartno on the other. The tasting room has been newly renovated but maintains the traditional style with lots of exposed bricks and an open fireplace, and can accommodate up to 50 guests for wine tastings and degustation if arrangements are made in advance.
