Tartu Market Hall

  Vabaduse pst. 1      +372 738 71 01     04 May 2026
Spread across two main locations, Tartu’s markets form a lively part of the city’s everyday life. Tartu Market Hall is housed in a striking riverside building dating from 1938, where stalls are packed with fresh meat, tangy sauerkraut, local fish and more. Out front, a cheerful pig sculpture adds a bit of local character. Just near the bus station, its open-air counterpart - a bustling outdoor market — is equally lively, with plenty of local colour and a separate market hall alongside the stalls.
