France That is my great grandmother's name also. But the manifest shows she arrived in 1902 from the port of Bremen and was from Zornica Poland. They travelled on passports from the Austrio-Hungarian empire - that's who owned Poland before WWI. I can't find a town called Zornica either so I think it's misspelled. Her name is spelled as Marya Zylka on the ship records. Could be Mary A Zylka .

Are there any people with last name of Zylka, My grandmother emigrated to US thru Ellis Island and on the ship's manifest, she was from a place called Zornica, we think this may be Poland or Austria. Her name was Mary Zylka, she came to the us around 1908.
