Built in the 1950s after the previous iteration was burnt down by the Nazis, this is the largest mountain hut in the Polish Tatras, capable of sleeping around 120 people (yes, the word 'hut' is clearly used rather loosely). This schronisko is the end point of most hikes along the Chochołowska Valley, where you can recharge with a hot meal and some beer. There is also a rudimentary kitchen for those who want to prepare their own food. Sleeping on the floor isn't allowed, make sure to book ahead of time if you'd like a bed.
