A steady favourite among tourists (owing much of its popularity to the cable car which runs to the very top), Kasprowy Wierch stands at 1 987 metres above sea level and can be accessed from the Kuźnice parking lot (green trail, 2h15), the Murowaniec mountain hut (yellow trail, 1h25), or from Cudakowa Polana in the Kościeliska Valley via Czerwone Wierchy (red trail, 7h50). The trails are steep but relatively easy, and can also be accessed in the winter, though a pair of crampons will be indispensible. Check the weather ahead of time, as there is often strong wind at the top. In the warm season, you can take the red trail to Świnica (2h).
Kasprowy is also one of the best spots around Zakopane for skiing, featuring two good intermediate runs and two ski lifts.
