Running over impermeable ground, it is this factor that leads to the Bloščica River having the number of meanders it does. The main river bed also happens to be full of small streams, making it one of the most interesting little rivers in the region. It isn’t immune to the contagious disappearing however, and depending on the water levels it either falls into a sinkhole near Velike Bloke or makes it all the way to Fara. Either way, the vast meadows of the area of nothing short of stunning, and the Bloščica plains are home to an intriguing collection of carnivorous plants. Insects, watch out!
