A land of fruit production, the Brkini fruit road is known nationwide for the quality and flavour of its produce. Full of orchards, meadows and fruit trees enveloping the hills, the farms on the road began producing fruit at the end of the 18th century and over 100 fruit growers are still connected here today. Apples, plums, cherries, pears and more can be found, as well as some particularly interesting juniper brandy.
