The city dump might not seem like the most obvious place to build a park, but what was once a land full of garbage as recently as the 1960s is now the Kindlerjev Park. It took 20 years of work, but the biodiversity found shows the work wasn’t for nought. 110 different species of plant, 45 species of conifers and 65 deciduous trees are within the park, as well as an artificial lake in the centre. The park is named after its founder, William Kindler.
