When we first began traipsing around the backpacking trails of Europe, it was the old towns that immediately grabbed us, so we’re obviously big fans of Majlont. The old town centre of Postojna under Sović Hill, it’s all narrow streets and tightly packed in buildings, and each house has its own story (so the rumour goes). Most of these stories probably revolve around fire, as Majlont has a tough history of fighting flames.
