Perched along the Krpan route is the small village of Ravnik, known throughout the region for a number of reasons, not all of which are positive. The marauding Italians burnt the village down in World War Two, including the church. The church was rebuilt in 1984, but the interior remains empty. An interesting statue stands outside however, depicting the archangel Michael doing battle with the devil himself. Ravnik is also known for a late 19th century fountain, built on the orders of the Count of Auersperg.
