It isn’t the most difficult hiking trail in the Green Karst, but the walk 1123m up to Sveta Trojica (Holy Trinity) is surely one of the most rewarding. The views from the plateau are truly remarkable, extending on a clear day all the way to the Adriatic Sea. On the top we find the pilgrim church of the Holy Trinity, first mentioned in the 17th century by that man Valvasor. The church was regrettably burned to the ground in the 18th century, but was brought back to life in 2009. If you’re lucky, you may bump into our old friend Martin Krpan up here.
