The highest point on the edge of the karst, Vremščica is yet another world within a world. The burja winds are particularly strong up here, occasionally reaching a mindboggling 200km/h, but the views are worth every windswept moment. Stretching out over the region and to the wonderful peaks of northern Slovenia, a clear day on Vremščica is a day you won’t forget. Also known as Gora, a Centre for Natural Re-cultivation has also been set up just below the summit.
