Rebuilt in the 18th century with baroque style replacing the original gothic grace, the church of St. Cunegunde was the site of a 16th century defensive wall. The Turks were rampant at this time, and the church and wall provided a rare place of refuge and safety during their attacks. The wall began to decay with the beginning of the renovations, but a visit is still recommended. Viewings of the church are available by prior appointment only.
