Between the villages of Ihan and Dob lies the 16th century Krumperk Castle, an aesthetically stunning example of a renaissance manor. It was heavily plundered following World War Two and has stood in its decaying state ever since, but in 1990 it was restored to the original family and plans to renovated have been in place ever since. The family was that of Adam Ravbar, leader of an army of knights who would help the Austrian Empire defeat the Ottomans at the Battle of Sisak, thus halting the Ottoman drive through Europe. Most illustrious blood!
