Just down the road from St. Nicholas church in the centre of Litija is the official tourist information centre of the town. While most info centres will be very formal in their layout, with a desk clearly separating tourist from staff, Litija do things a little differently. A large wooden table sits in the middle of the room, putting everyone on the same level. An array of local products with everything from craftwork to liquor is displayed in a delightful honeycomb exhibition on the back wall, and the staff are always on hand to answer any and all queries. If a tourist information centre could ever be described as being delightful, Litija is it.
