This gorgeous, though not quite black lake sits at 1624 metres above sea level at the foot of Kościelec in the Gąsienica Valley. To get here take the blue trail from the Murowaniec mountain hut (30mins). From the lake trails lead to Zawrat (blue trail, 1h50), Granaty (yellow trail starting on the eastern side of the lake, 1h45 mins), and Kościelec (black trail, 1h20).
